Breakfast at 8:30am.

Weather in Singapore is hot, about 30° and very humid.

We then (all 4 of us) headed to the Singapore Flyer (very large Ferris wheel). Heather Lynne & I had a 30-minute ride; views are amazing so we took some fantastic photos.

Lynne & Heather then went to the Fish spa for a 30-minute session with feet in a pool of water full of doctor fish nibbling their feet.

More walking and we went to Marina Bay Sands and then to the Gardens by the Bay which features beautiful gardens and 2 huge air-conditioned conservatories featuring plant life from around the world, (cloud & flower domes). All flowered out now. There are also Supertrees – very tall tree like tower structures that are vertical gardens, lit up at night. There is also a tree walk, about 22 meters above the ground which was fantastic.

Finished in the gardens at about 7:00pm so went looking for dinner, eventually had a quick meal in the food court in Marina Bay Mall and then walked back to our hotel about 9:00pm for a cuppa and cake.

Wednesday 13^th May 2015

Our flight from Munich touched down at 7:00am, cleared customs, collected our luggage and got in a taxi about 7:45am for the trip to the Pan Pacific Hotel where we will be spending the next 4 nights.

Checked into the hotel at 8:00am. As our room was not going to be ready until about 10:30 am we caught up with Heather & Mick for a cuppa while we waited.

Hotel reception called at 10:30 am to say our room was ready and they had delivered the luggage to our room already. Collected the room keys and headed up to our room on the 28^th floor. Excellent view over Singapore harbour.

We felt recharged after a shower and change of clothes so went for a walk to the Merlion and had lunch & drink at a bar looking over Marina Bay. More walking saw us at Suntec City where we had dinner and saw the Fountain of Wealth.

Made the short walk back to hotel for an early night and some much needed sleep.

Tuesday 12^th May 2015

Our last morning in Munich.

Weather has been awesome with today no different. Maximum temperature is expected to be 30°.

Breakfast at 7:00 then back to our room to complete the last minute packing then checked out of the hotel and got in a taxi at 9:00am for the 45 minute trip to the airport.

Arrived at the airport at 9:45am and as our flight was not due to depart until 1:25pm we checked our luggage and got our seat allocations. As the plane, a Boeing 777, was not full we were able to get a 3-seat row at the rear of the plane with an empty seat between us, which gave us a bit more room and was more comfortable for the 11½-hour flight o Singapore. We then found the place to get the GST refunds processed on the items we bought in Munich, about $80, so worth spending the time in the line to get it done. Lynne also bought some more souvenirs.

The flight left right on time.
